AOOS relies on continuous feedback and collaboration on our web products.
A Southeast fisherman and a colleague used the Internet at their local library to pull up real time images of sea surface temperature and chlorophyll levels near where they planned to troll for fish.
Through trial and error they found what they were looking for in one tool. Later, using a laptop out on the boat, they were able to zoom into a smaller region via another tool.
This fisherman took the time to tell us why he was looking for this data and how we could make it easier for him and similar fishermen.
By making excellent suggestions and asking questions he helped us understand more about what a charter fisherman or a small commercial operation might look for from AOOS.
