2004 Lagrangian Field Experiment
Prince William Sound Nowcast-Forecast (PWSNF) was a marine research program funded primarily through the Oil Spill Recovery Institute (OSRI) and housed within the Prince William Sound Science Center (PWSSC) from 1998 to 2004. The foundation of PWSNF included an atmospheric circulation model coupled to an ocean circulation model and an oil spill trajectory model. The Lagrangian Field Experiment (LFE) described within this document was developed to evaluate the performance of these models with an intensive observational program.
