Processing and metadata included with M2 and M4 restrospective dataset for BSIERP: At the request of Ken Coyle and with the blessing of Phyllis Stabeno, I have placed time-series data from our Bering Sea moorings M2 and M4 for the years 2000-2007 on the BSIERP ftp site. the directory path is: ./B52/Stabeno
The files are indeed our flavor of NetCDF (PMEL-EPIC standard), and are tar.gz files per year and per mooring. Both the year and the mooring (M2,M4) are embedded in the tar file name.
NetCDF filenames contain 3 fields separated by underscore. These are => 2-digit year,mooring name => instrument code => depth of instrument An Example 02bsm2a_mt_0016m.nc: 02=2002, bs=Bering Sea, m=surface (p=ADCP, non-surface), mt=MTR temperature recorder, 0016m=instrument at 16 m.
